Take "Memory Lane" to Oregon House May 25

For vintage cars and music and even food from the 50s era come on out to the Community Center for the North Yuba Classic Car Show, followed by the Sock Hop Dinner Dance with The Believers live band from Napa County.

The Car Show starts at 10:00 a.m. and is open to all types of classic and custom vehicles. Admission is free; vehicle registration is $15 which includes one ticket to the Sock Hop. The registration form is available HERE

BBQ Tri-Tip sandwiches will be available for lunch along with cold drinks and hot dogs. The display area is cool and shaded by oak trees; bring a chair and relax!

The Sock Hop, headlining The Believers, a 15 person band, is a really impressive and well-rehearsed entertainment event. For their 2013 performance, the band has added an entertaining new theme, "Retro Hawaiian", to its popular line-up of classic hits of the 1950´s and ´60s such as "Lolli-pop" and "My Boyfriend´s Back." The Believers have developed the Sock Hop theme into a successful fundraising performance which they donate to various charities. Proceeds from the May 25 concert will benefit the Alcouffe Center. The show is very family oriented and includes Hula Hoop and bubble gum contests for the kids, and a limbo contest for all ages. A 50´s-style menu will feature malts and shakes. A dinner of grilled burgers and freshly made French Fries is included in the $10 entrance donation ($5 for children under ten).
