History

Some Important Milestones:

1993: Land dedicated to a new Community Center was donated by the Jules Alcouffe family.

1993, December 28: Dobbins-Oregon House Improvement Foundation Articles of Incorporation were filed with California Secretary of State by members of the Yuba Feather Lions Club: James Ackles, Donald Walker, Floyd Douthit, Ken Eaton, David Dickinson, Marie L. Hepfner, Adrienne S. Gledhill.

1996, June: The current 20 acre Community Center site was acquired through purchase and donation by the Dave Pedersen family (D&D Signs).

1997: The Williams fire destroyed many board members homes and most DOHIF records in September.

1998: Our Well was drilled.

2004: Ground breaking for the current Community Center building took place.

2005, April: Our first annual Vintage Tractor Days was held.

2010, March 20: The Alcouffe Center“s Grand Opening was celebrated.

2010, (Fall): The Floyd R. Douthit Memorial Park and Ball Field construction began.

2011, May 21: The Floyd R. Douthit Memorial Park and Ball Field Grand Opening was celebrated.
