All proceeds will go toward the completion of the Community Center and grounds.
Also contributing to the success of the event, were the Sisters of Scota, a Dobbins-based Women´s Motorcycle Club, who took on the task of serving the crowd of over 200 attendees.
The Annual Mexican Dinner and Live Auction, held Saturday, August 20, was a resounding success,
both as a fundraiser and also as a great community party.
Credit for the success of this event goes out to the entire community, including the many volunteers, guest chef George “Butch” Rogers and his team,
and the generosity of dozens of local businesses and individuals who donated over 30 valuable items for auction. And our auctioneer, Pete “the Hammer”
Hammontre, did an outstanding job of keeping up a fast pace so that everyone was entertained.
Of course, as a fundraiser, it all depended on the enthusiasm of the bidders. So thanks are also due to the capacity crowd who reached deeply into
their pockets—and out-shouted each other—to support this annual auction.
